I met Simon at King Edward's on just one occasion, when he very kindly arranged for me to give a talk to the boys, based on a book I had written. That was in March 2016, and I am so profoundly shocked to hear of his death. He was charming, enthusiastic and obviously a credit to KES. As an OE from a previous generation, I was immediately sure that the school's teaching had remained in very good hands. My sincere condolences to his family. I hope that good memories of Simon will lessen their pain and sorrow.
