Edgar Elliott 8th June 2022

The news of Mr. Stacey’s passing has greatly shocked and saddened me. A true giant of King Edward’s during my time there, I shall never forget, and am infinitely grateful for his devotion to his students, his passion for his subject, and his kindness to me. I am deeply indebted to Mr. Stacey for the way in which he worked wonders teaching me English at IB. I can safely say that I wouldn’t have achieved anywhere near as good a performance in my final exams had it not been for his meticulous teaching, painstaking dedication, and his willingness and desire to go above and beyond in ensuring we were as best prepared as possible. However, while I shall always count my lucky stars that I was placed under his tutelage, which did indeed work wonders, I shall remember Mr. Stacey best for the personal kindness he extended to me during several very difficult moments. He truly went far out of his way to help and to console, and I shall always owe him a huge debt of gratitude for the compassion and support he showed me during the toughest of times. Forever in our memory, Edgar Elliott (2015)
