Mr Stacey was a man of great reputation whom, despite finally being taught by him in the Divisions, I gained knowledge of almost immediately as I entered into the Shells year from members of his form group and other teaching staff. It was immediately apparent to anyone that came to know Mr Stacey that he was not someone for whom a job completed to anything but perfection would suffice. Mr Stacey was beloved among his students for his obvious dedication to and clear admiration of his craft; for his ability to instill in even the least enthusiastic English student an appreciation for the subtleties of the art of literature and for his unwavering support of every student he encountered: academically, pastorally and emotionally. Mr Stacey's utter dedication to every task was something that nobody could begin to question. Whether helping students prepare for English orals, working in the KES archive or guiding prospective students through the Oxbridge application process, there was never any question that Mr Stacey could be counted upon. I will always remember the conversations with Mr Stacey long beyond the bell, his quick-witted humour beaming, working hugely beyond what was expected of him to help me and so many others. Mr Stacey will not be forgotten by anyone he encountered. He was a man that has left a hugely significant mark on the lives of so many individuals and on the KES landscape itself. To the memory of a wonderful man. James (22)
