I was studying English A-level in 1996 and I remember Mr. Stacey’s first day at KES. He launched into reading the Wife of Bath in an appropriately Middle English accent and we were all a bit taken aback. We all found it quite funny, but I recognise that he was exercising his enthusiasm and love for the subject he taught for so long. He helped me and many others get solid grades and helped nurture a love for literature. Condolences to his loved ones; may he rest in peace.
